Jordan prohibit imports of ozone-depleting substances in refrigeration appliance

from last month

For the protection of the ozone layer, the Jordanian Ministry of Environment

announced last month, the Jordanian government will strengthen the  regul-

atory ban on imports of  ozone-depleting refrigerant refrigerators, air condit-

ioners and other appliances.

Currently, Jordan comprehensive phase-out of ozone-depleting chlorofluoro-

carbons (CFC) central refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. About the

 Ministry of Environment has issued regulations to gradually reduce the refrig-

eration equipment to use in the hydrogen-containing chlorofluorocarbons alk-

anes (HCFC).
